Barb Jungr Appears on In Tune

With upcoming dates in New York and at the London Jazz Festival, Barb Jungr appeared on BBC Radio Three programme In Tune performing three songs and discuss her recent success.

The show was broadcast live at 5pm on Friday 14 November, 2008 and is now available on the BBC Radio online Listen Again service for seven days thereafter. Songs she will perform include The Times They Are A-changin' and I Want You. She will be accompanied by Jessica Lauren (keyboards) and Jenny Carr (piano).

Britain's foremost chansonnier and song stylist, Jungr, is one of the country's finest interpreters of contemporary song. Always original and inventive, Jungr has drawn comparisons with Nina Simone and Peggy Lee.  

Her recent album Just Like a Woman (hymn to Nina) has received excellent reviews and she was recently featured in the New York Times who described her as "a freewheeling chanteuse you can't pin down".
