Mackerras' Mozart named CD of the Week

BBC Radio 3's Saturday morning classical review show CD Review, named "Mozart Symphonies Nos 38-41" by Sir Charles Mackerras and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra its "CD of the Week". Presenter Andrew McGregor had this to say:

"This recording has generated an enthusiastic reponse from the critics and CD Review listeners. The playing is fresh and crisp with compact but muscular string sound and characterful wind colours all of which contribute towards making this a vital and invigorating journey from the Prague to a majestic account of the Jupiter".

Listeners were then treated to the entire Prague Symphony. The programme is available to listen to here (until Saturday 29 March).
