Purchasing music to download

Most of the albums featured on this website from both Linn Records and other labels are available for download as full albums and individual tracks.

The price of the track depends on the running length. The price goes up for every five minutes of recorded music on a track. All prices are also dependent on quality level.

Buying an album download

Select your chosen album by clicking 'MORE' or by visiting the album page.

You will see the options to buy the album download in your chosen format on the album banner. You are able to choose the quality level of your download: MP3, CD Quality (FLAC or WMA), Studio Master (FLAC or WMA) at 192KHz, 96KHz, 88.2KHz, 48KHz or 44.1KHz; Studio Master 5.1 (FLAC or WMA) is also available for some albums. Only the options that are available for the particular album will be shown.

Click the 'BUY NOW' button for your chosen quality level.

The album will be added to your shopping cart.

At this point you can choose to 'CONTINUE SHOPPING' or go to the 'CHECKOUT'.

You can remove items from your Shopping Cart at any time before completing a purchase.

Once you have selected all your items for purchase, proceed through the checkout (for more information click here) until your order is complete.

Once your payment has been accepted you will then be able to download the available artwork such as the cover, booklet or inlay, and your tracks.

You will not be charged for shipping on any download purchase.

We recommend that you use a download manager if you are downloading several tracks. This enables you to leave your computer to download all the tracks together. Otherwise you will need to download each individual track. Download managers are free and can be found by typing "download manager" into your search engine.

Buying a track download

Select the album from which you wish to purchase a track by clicking the album 'BUY' button or by visiting the album page.

You will see the tracks at the right hand side of your screen in the 'LISTEN AND DOWNLOAD' box.

The 'DOWNLOAD QUALITY' will be displayed here in a drop-down as MP3, CD quality (FLAC or WMA), Studio Master quality (FLAC or WMA) or Studio Master 5.1 (FLAC or WMA).

You can change the quality of your download by choosing a different option in the drop-down. For more information on which quality level is best for you please click here.

Only the quality levels that are available for this particular track will be shown.

The price for each track is updated when you change the quality.

To purchase a track click 'BUY NOW'.

The track will be added to your shopping cart.

At this point you can choose to 'CONTINUE SHOPPING' or go to the 'CHECKOUT'.

You can remove items from your Shopping Cart at any time before completing a purchase.

Completing a purchase

If you are purchasing downloads for the first time, please ensure that you have chosen the correct format and quality for your system by downloading the test files.

If you are a Mac user, please note that it is not possible to convert Studio Master WMA files for Mac. Instructions for how to convert CD Quality WMA files are here.

When you have made your order selections and wish to purchase them, simply click on the 'CHECKOUT' button at the right hand side of the screen.

This takes you to the log in page.

If you are a new user you will need to register.

Existing registered users can sign-in by entering their user name (e-mail address) and password.

You will then be presented with your billing address details.

You must also tick the box marked " I accept the terms and conditions of purchase" before being able to proceed.

You will be asked to select which major credit or debit card you would like to use for payment.

You will then be asked to supply the card information.

At the confirmation page you will be asked to 'MAKE PAYMENT'.

This is your last opportunity to amend your order.

The system will check your card details and if they are authorised the order will be processed. The final page will be marked 'COMPLETE' and will show your five digit order reference. You will receive confirmation of you order by email.

Once your payment has been accepted you will then be able to download the cover art and your tracks.
